Whenever I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, I always crave my grandma’s apple pie. It just brings back so many sweet memories of childhood.

Grandma's Simple Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 6 medium apples (like Granny Smith)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Peel, core, and slice apples. Mix with sugar, cinnamon, flour, and lemon juice.
  3. Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate. Fill with apple mixture.
  4. Top with the second pie crust, crimp edges, and cut a few slits on top. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 375°F (190°C) and bake for another 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
