Homemade Margherita Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pizza dough
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
- Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to parchment paper or a pizza peel.
- Spread tomato sauce over the dough, then arrange mozzarella slices. Drizzle with olive oil.
- Carefully slide pizza onto the hot stone/sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly. Top with fresh basil before serving.
