Creamy Indian Butter Chicken
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Steps
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Marinate with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and turmeric for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pot. Brown chicken pieces, then remove.
- Add tomato puree, garam masala, and cook for 5 minutes. Return chicken to pot.
- Stir in heavy cream, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened. Serve with rice or naan.
