I love trying new things, and lately, I’ve been obsessed with authentic Indian butter chicken. The complex blend of spices takes me on a culinary adventure every time.

Creamy Indian Butter Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Steps

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Marinate with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and turmeric for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot. Brown chicken pieces, then remove.
  3. Add tomato puree, garam masala, and cook for 5 minutes. Return chicken to pot.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened. Serve with rice or naan.
