Authentic Tacos al Pastor
Ingredients
- 1 lb thinly sliced pork shoulder
- 1/4 cup achiote paste
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1/2 pineapple, diced
- 1/4 white onion, finely chopped
- Corn tortillas
Steps
- Marinate pork with achiote paste and vinegar for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook pork in batches until browned and cooked through.
- Add diced pineapple to the skillet and cook for a few minutes until slightly caramelized.
- Warm corn tortillas. Assemble tacos with pork, pineapple, and chopped white onion. Serve with salsa if desired.
