Every time there’s something to celebrate, my first thought is always pizza! Sharing a delicious, cheesy pizza with friends just makes any occasion feel more festive and fun. It’s the ultimate party food!
Classic Margherita Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough ball
- 1/2 cup passata (tomato puree)
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Pinch of salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking steel if possible.
- Stretch or roll out pizza dough to desired thickness. Transfer to a floured pizza peel or baking sheet.
- Spread passata evenly over the dough, leaving a small crust. Arrange mozzarella slices and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from oven, drizzle with olive oil, scatter fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve immediately.
