There’s something uniquely satisfying about making and eating homemade pizza. From kneading the dough to choosing the toppings, it’s a whole experience that just hits right.
Classic Pepperoni Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 store-bought pizza dough ball
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: dried oregano
Steps
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out pizza dough to your desired thickness.
- Transfer dough to parchment paper. Brush edges with olive oil. Spread pizza sauce, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese and arrange pepperoni slices. Add oregano if desired.
- Carefully slide the pizza (with parchment paper) onto the hot stone/baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
