There’s something uniquely satisfying about making and eating homemade pizza. From kneading the dough to choosing the toppings, it’s a whole experience that just hits right.

Classic Pepperoni Pizza

1 hour (plus dough rise time) • Medium

Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought pizza dough ball
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: dried oregano

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out pizza dough to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer dough to parchment paper. Brush edges with olive oil. Spread pizza sauce, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese and arrange pepperoni slices. Add oregano if desired.
  4. Carefully slide the pizza (with parchment paper) onto the hot stone/baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  5. Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
