Classic Beef Lasagna
Ingredients
- 1 lb lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain fat. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and Parmesan cheese.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer with noodles, then ricotta mixture, then mozzarella cheese, then meat sauce. Repeat layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese is golden. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
