There’s nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked bread filling the house. It instantly makes me feel so content and happy, especially when paired with some good cheese.
Simple No-Knead Bread
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Stir in water until a shaggy dough forms. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let sit at room temperature for 8-12 hours.
- Lightly flour a surface. Scrape dough onto it and fold it over on itself a few times. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside for 30 minutes.
- Carefully place dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 15-20 minutes, until crust is golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
