Easy Shepherd's Pie
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 lbs potatoes, mashed
Steps
- Brown ground meat and onion in a pan. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in mixed vegetables, beef broth, and tomato paste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour meat mixture into an oven-safe dish.
- Top with mashed potatoes, spreading evenly. Create peaks with a fork.
- Bake at 375°F (195°C) for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
