Sunday afternoons are for relaxing, and for me, that means a slow-cooked lasagna. The layers of rich flavor make every bite a moment of pure bliss.
Hearty Beef Lasagna
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 box (9 oz) no-boil lasagna noodles
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet. Drain fat. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Layer with noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella.
- Bake, covered, for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
